We're the second generation of this family business, and we grew up around file folders. That's where the story starts: not with art portfolio bags, but with something much plainer.
In 1976 the business began making document storage products: file folders, document holders and related stationery. They look simple, but making them well at volume takes stable production, consistent material handling, accurate cutting and clean finishing. Mistakes show immediately when thousands of identical pieces go out.
Why did file folders matter so much?
Because they taught us what paper storage actually has to do. Long before portfolio cases, we had spent years on flat storage: how documents are used, what protecting paper really takes, and how the choice of material changes durability and daily handling.
File folders were never decorative. They organise documents, protect paper and make it easier to carry, in offices, schools and shops, wherever paper needs handling. That need never really goes away.
How does that connect to portfolio cases?
The job is the same; only the size and the user changed. An art portfolio bag protects artwork. A presentation book organises creative work. A drafting bag keeps large sheets flat and easy to carry. A document folder keeps certificates in order. Store it, protect it, organise it, present it: that hasn't changed since the first folder.
Moving into art and design products wasn't a sudden pivot. We went from document storage to larger and more specialised storage and presentation products, for art stores, school suppliers, stationery retailers and brands that need something practical and ready for their market.
The chapters of our story
Each chapter follows one product line that grew out of our file folder work:
- When File Folders Became Mainstream: the product era that helped our factory grow.
- From Side Labels to Full-Colour Printing: how our PP file folders changed in look and finish.
- From File Folders to Clip Files: holding paper quickly, before the digital age.
- From File Folders to Refill Pages: how inner pockets became a long-lasting product line.
- From File Folders to Photo Albums: when storage became a gift.
- From Document Protection to Pencil Cases: PP storage moves into everyday stationery.
Why does manufacturing background matter to a B2B buyer?
Because the details that decide how a product performs are manufacturing details. A good folder, bag or case needs the right material, a structure that holds its shape, clean workmanship and packaging that suits the retail channel. Those show up in daily use, not in a product photo.
Decades with folders and storage products is what lets us spot those details from the production side. It's also why we can keep a specification consistent from one reorder to the next.
What do we make today?
The same thread runs through our current range:
- Zipper drafting bags and ring binder portfolios in A4 to A1
- Presentation books and display portfolios
- Carrying tubes, refill sleeves and studio totes
- PP files, which are still in our printed catalogue
All of them can be made as OEM or private label. See all products or OEM & Custom.
Frequently Asked Questions
When did your factory start?
In 1976, making PP file folders and other document storage products. The business is now run by the second generation.
Why did a file folder manufacturer move into art portfolio products?
Because the core skill is the same: protecting paper-based work and presenting it in order. Portfolio products are a larger, more specialised version of what we already made.
Does file folder experience matter for a portfolio case buyer?
Yes. Material choice, structural stability and clean finishing are the same disciplines whether the product is a folder or a case, and that experience keeps quality consistent across large orders and reorders.
Do you still make file folders?
Yes. PP files are in our printed catalogue, alongside the portfolio cases, presentation books and drafting bags shown on this website.
Are OEM or private-label options available?
Yes. Size, material, colour, inside layout and branding can be adjusted. OEM MOQ is 500 pcs per style and size.
Where the story goes next
From file folders to art portfolio products, the direction has stayed the same: practical storage and presentation for people who need to protect, carry and organise their work. If you're building a range for art, stationery or creative retail, tell us what you need.
